1) How do I apply?
This grant is currently available to couples who have first been approved for the Family Life Services Domestic Adoption Program. If you have not yet applied to Family Life Services, click on the link at (www.familylifeservices.org) and you will be taken to their website. From there, you need to review eligibility for their program, complete their application process, and obtain application approval. Once you receive an approval letter from FLS to their Domestic Infant Adoption Program and review the eligibility for Jerry’s Kids Adoption Grant, please email us directly with a copy of your approval letter to set up an interview with a representative of Jerry’s Kids.
2) What is the connection between Jerry’s Kids Adoption Foundation and Family Life Services Adoption Agency?
Both of these organization were established as non-profit organizations that are associated with Thomas Road Baptist Church. Family Life Services Adoption Agency was founded by Dr. Jerry Falwell in 1983 as a private, licensed, child-placing agency in Virginia. Jerry’s Kids Adoption Foundation was founded by Callie Penn in 2023 to honor the late Dr. Falwell and his heart’s desire to provide life-affirming options for women experiencing an unintended pregnancy. Jerry’s Kids Adoption Foundation has been created to provide adoption grants to couples adopting through Family Life Services.
3) Who Qualifies to Apply?
To qualify for consideration for an adoption grant from Jerry’s Kids Adoption Foundation a couple must:
- A Christian couple (a marriage between a man and a woman).
- Be committed to raising their child in a loving, Christian home.
- In need of financial assistance.
4) How do you determine who receives this assistance?
Upon approval from Family Life Services, the Board will prayerfully consider and will determine the amount of any adoption grant designated for the applicants. Grants are based on the availability of our funding at the time and the needs of the family. There is no guarantee that funding will be available for all applicants.
